Once again Evan came up with a highly creative technique. There is an infinite number of words and phrases you can arrange in a way that anyone can visually relate to. Keyboard is an object that we stare at everyday. Sometimes when I can not think of something to write about (like right now, for example), I just stare at the keyboard and meditate on the letters hoping that letters will start forming a story on their own. This time around it didn’t happen, so what I decided to do instead, was to actually try to execute Evan’s tutorial myself.
What I did was to create a business card for my photography business:
I think I am pretty happy with it, it’s edgy, simple and a creative looking slim business card (1.5 inches by 3.5). It took me about 15 minutes.
By the way, I did this on my older laptop and it doesn’t have CS5 on it only CS4. So I used the “Patch” tool to replace the buttons instead of content aware (as suggested in the video, content aware only available in CS5)
So that was my take. What can you come up with?
CONTEST: Express Yourself Using the Keyboard Keys
Guidelines: Using this technique express yourself in about 1 to 50 characters. Make a statement, business card, love note, (Valentine’s Day is in two weeks) a ransom note, anything… I am sure if you stare long enough at your keyboard you will come up with some creative ideas.
